Golf still rules, women are not broads (some would say more cougar-like in their approach to hunt of men) and booze of choice is actually social media. Can you say a 12 step program?

We discuss the phenomenon that is social media and how real estate has been positioned to be the poster children of the problem or it’s solution.

YouTube’d – Why Video Is Better

First it was a verbal description, flowery words to draw you into a listing, then came a grainy black and white Polaroid complete with a car in the drive and and way to much tree.

Then a colour picture, then 10 colour pictures with wide angle lens that made looking at each room the same visual as looking at the home through the peep hole in your door.

The next incarnation those dizzy spins or 360 images that today still used but oh so 1980′s (I think the special 180degree camera I had is still in my Delorean)and then video.

Then came video, well actually YouTube and then video. As technology gains momentum, the skill and understanding of how to shoot a real estate video is still a mystery to homeowners and Realtors alike.

This week we discuss how to shoot the appropriate video, the do’s and don’t's of videography and why people aren’t demanding that their homes be marketed in this manner.
